'Noise Synth' is an interactive sound application available for iOS, created by Mamoru Ichikawa, an Interactive Artist. This innovative application utilizes Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) technology to generate sounds from random noise. The app boasts support for three types of noise sources - white, pink, and red noise, a 44.1kHz sampling rate, 48Hz frequency resolution, and a 512-band frequency filter. Users can effortlessly produce a myriad of sounds by interacting with the filter graph, providing a creative and intuitive experience akin to painting on a canvas. The filter graph's values can be adjusted automatically through touch gestures. Moreover, by utilizing the internal accelerometer sensor, users can manipulate the filter's values and frequencies simply by tilting their iPhone or iPad. These unique functionalities make it possible for even novices to experiment with sound generation from noise, resembling the capabilities of a novel music synthesizer.
